Experience

I love teaching my favorite subjects of math, physics, and chemistry and have experience helping in topics from algebra to calculus, up to differential equations. Areas I tutor also include biology, physiology, writing, grammar, computer science, and genetics. I've been tutoring in the fields of math and science for three years and find it rewarding when I can help someone solve a problem that is tough for them. When tutoring, I don't just show how to solve a problem. I focus on the concepts that underlie the process, so the students have the skills needed to solve similar problems by themselves. A senior at the University of California - Santa Barbara, I am working towards my Bioengineering degree. My background in math, the life sciences, engineering, and physical science enables me to pursue my love of helping people learn. It also enables me to make a difference in their lives which succeeding in one's education is so effective at doing. Having grown up in a small town in the state of New Mexico, I now live in Goleta, California. Aside from math, science, teaching, and tutoring, my greatest love in life is to go on outdoor adventures as often as I can.
